Location & Facility
We have chosen to open our initial site in
New Castle, DE in the spring of 2006. A historic town and
cornerstone to New Castle County, this location will provide the
members of New Castle County a centralized place to gain access
to our services.
- Immediate Goals: Locate a
space within a church or obtain a donated space.
- Short Term Goals: Rent a
space within an existing medical facility or strip mall.
- Long Term Goals: Purchase a
six-story structure with space for 12-15 medical examination
rooms, counseling facility, classroom for parenting and
health education classes, WIC office, lab, food bank,
clothing closet, low income cafeteria, office space, waiting
room and gymnasium.
Staff
- Immediate Goals: Hire
executive director as full time employee with annual salary
between $20,000 and $35,000 and benefits package.
- Long Term Goals: Hire part
time health professionals including doctors, counselors,
nurses, phlebotomists and administrative assistants.
Financial
- Immediate Goals: Completed
fundraiser in May 2005 and currently planning a fundraiser
for March 2006.
- Short Term Goals: Create
and implement plan for individual donations.
- Long Term Goals: Begin
targeted solicitation of funds and pursue federal and state
grants.
Services
- Immediate Goals: Provide
community with health information, enable contact with
social service agencies through resource list and provide
psychological and spiritual counseling
- Short Term Goals: Provide
community health education series through churches, child
care facilities and health fairs, enhance spiritual &
psychological counseling and offer social services by
partnering with other social service agencies and non-profit
organizations.
- Long Term Goals: Become a
full service Christian community health center offering
pediatric medical care, counseling services, social services
through food bank & donation closet, laboratory services,
WIC program services and health education.
